Sustainability

Sustainability.

We at NGA believe sustainability isn’t a compromise, it’s a necessity.

The world we live in is as important as the products we put in it. No Grey Area is not a sustainable brand, we are doing the best we can, but we are not there yet! We have set goals and are working as hard as we can to be a responsible company and human beings, making right decisions every step of the way. We dream of one day achieving a circular or zero waste supply chain.

SOURCING We pay attention to the things we make, all the way from design through to our finished garments. We want our customers to shop knowing each piece has been responsibly sourced, expertly crafted and built to last.

We spend months researching, sourcing the most ethical and ecological fabrics to construct our collections. We use ethically sourced Silk, Supima cotton and Bemberg while limiting the amount of chemicals and water used in production.

We also put a lot of time and effort into our trims and labels. We use certified zippers that would stand the test of time. All our threads are made from recycled PET bottles; Our labels and buttons are made of recycled polyester.

GREENER PACKAGING Over 5 millions tons of plastics are used each year in garment packaging in the apparel industry.

We don’t use any plastic in any of our packaging and ensure all our packaging materials are ethically sourced:
// Our garment bags are made of organic cotton sewn to be reused
// Our Packing boxes, hang tags, invoices are all made of recycled paper

With every new collection we aim to push this further by exploring alternatives to today’s standard materials, sustainable fabrics and finding the right points of sourcing without compromising on aesthetics, function and durability.
